Week 8 of the NFL season takes us to a new site for our weekly salary cap league, as we are playing at StarStreet for the first time this season.

This site uses a $100,000 salary cap and the roster consists of 2 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE and 2 FLEX. We always fill the FLEX positions with running backs, so that means four running backs for us. This site gives four points for touchdown passes and one full point per reception, a combination that makes quarterbacks the least valuable.

Thus, we do not splurge for elite quarterbacks, looking for value and upside instead. As for the running backs, we went with one stud and three value picks as Rashard Jennings is a great pick-up at less than $11,000 as he starts in place of Maurice Jones-Drew.

So here is our StarStreet lineup for the Week 8 $1000 Freeroll.

QB – Ben Roethlisberger, PIT ($12,503): This is a nice matchup for a cheap quarterback as Big Ben is going up against aWashington team that ranks dead last in the NFL in pass defense at an atrocious 328.4 yards per game.

QB – Carson Palmer, OAK ($11,759): Darren McFadden has not been himself for whatever reason, so Palmer is another cheap option that will continue to throw the ball, and theKansas City defense ranks second to last in passing average at 8.3 yards per attempt.

RB – LeSean McCoy, PHI ($14,237): Going cheap on quarterbacks allowed us to afford the player that we project to be the highest scorer in all of fantasy, as even Andy Reid can see that Atlanta allows 5.2 yards per rush and he had a bye week to game plan for the Falcons.

RB – Matt Forte, CHI ($11,304): Forte’s value goes up in a PPR league, and if Jay Cutler’s ribs are bothering him, then Forte will be the recipient of a lot of carries and swing passes out of the backfield.

WR – Julio Jones, ATL ($11,402): In a classic case of buy low, this is the cheapest we have seen our pre-season second-ranked receiver in football all year. As great as thePhiladelphia secondary is, it is impossible to pass on Julio this cheap.

WR – Marques Colston, NO ($10,482): Colston looks like another bargain, as the Saints are always involved in shootouts and Colston was targeted a team high 10 times in a 35-28 win overTampaBay last week.

TE – Martellus Bennett, NYG ($6,405): We like to go cheap on tight ends anyway, but Bennett can be a prized jewel at this abnormally cheap price tag. He is a great red zone target on a passing offense, and he caught a touchdown in the Giants’ first meeting withDallas.

FLEX – Frank Gore, SF ($10,983): Gore was a monster vs. a stiffSeattle defense, rushing for 131 yards on only 16 carries last Thursday, and he is going up against anArizona defense that has not been as good stopping the run since losing run-stuffing end Darnell Dockett to a pulled hamstring.

FLEX – Rashard Jennings, JAC ($10,849): Jennings is no Jones-Drew, but he is a capable runner that ran good enough in the preseason to earn the starting job until Maurice reported, and he is a good receiver out of the backfield.

Total Salary: $99,924
